Converse Lucky Star Ox Shoes
Shining through with a distinctive heritage vibe taken from an original 1967 design, these Converse Lucky Star Ox Shoes in black and egret follow a pared back aesthetic with minimal branding and clean, black textile uppers. Flowing across the low-cut body of the shoe, white top stitching adds contrasting decoration alongside silver metal eyelets on the front lace up fastening and inner side wall. Pairing well with the rubber top cap - which features a line of texture on its edge - white cotton laces remain in tune with the monochrome colourway which continues with the layered outsole. Adding texture to the style, fine lines of rubber are visible on the back of the foot whereas on the front an additional panel curves around the front of the toes, split into two sections which both work towards increasing overall durability.
Paying homage to the original release, a stylised ‘Converse Chuck Taylor Athletic Shoes’ license plate, rubber heel tab is visible, alongside a printed red sockliner that highlights the cushioned heel support system and comfort arch construction. Standing out against tread designs typically found across Converse footwear, distinctive debossed stars are inlaid within the dark brown tread, alongside ovals strategically positioned on the inside of the sole and big toe, designed to provide premium grip.
With an extensive history within basketball footwear history that needs no introduction, the Converse Lucky Star evolved from the famous All Star silhouette and remains a definitive design recognisable through minimal branding and focused detailing that elevates the shoes performance.
